Hales Redden Chartered Accountants was first started in Rockdale, New South Wales by Mr L Hales & Mr K Redden (both now deceased) in 1950, as LN Hales & Co. We have been operating from our own premises at 24 Bay St Rockdale NSW 2216 since the companies inception, which is located on the corner of the Princes Hwy and Bay St, above the National Australia Bank.

Changing our name to Hales Redden Chartered Accountants in 1986, the business consisted of three partners, Mr Brian Gallie CA, Mr Paul de Maria CA and Mr James Heesh CA and fourteen staff.

The current partners consist of Mr Paul De Maria CA and Mr James Heesh CA and Mr Gordon McKirdy CA.

Paul de Maria CA joined Hales Redden directly from leaving secondary school in 1966 and is a CPA and a registered Company Auditor.

James Heesh CA joined Hales Redden directly from leaving secondary school in 1981.

Gordon McKirdy CA joined Hales Redden in 1994 from a large city based accountancy firm as an employee but was soon made a partner within 5 years after the retirement of Mr Brian Gallie.
